Lilly Lines by Jack Barlick 886-4694
Saturday was a busy day for the teenagers of the area as they prepared for the Penn Cambria prom. All the pictures that were on Face Book showed very beautiful girls and handsome young men enjoying the day. Two of my granddaughters attended the event at the casino at Lakemont Park. I got to see them both for pre-prom pictures. They are Allison Barlick and Desiree Bukowsky.
Congratulations to my nephew Ian Barlick and his wife Sarah on the birth of their son Karter James Barlick on May 6. Karter joins a family tree on both sides that extends back to the earliest settlers in the Lilly area over 200 years ago.

On Monday, May 26 the annual War Memorial program will be held at the War Memorial field at 11:00 A.M. This year will recall the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion in Normandy and the role that many Lilly area men had in the event both on D-Day and shortly afterwards.
Anyone that had a family member involved in D-Day is welcome to call me for an inclusion of their story in the recollection. I am also looking for a volunteer to sing the National Anthem at the event.

You are an old timer if you fished for Crappies and Catfish at the BAB. Your just as old, if not older, if you swam there.
