TOWN WIDE YARD SALE The town wide yard sale in Lilly is only a week away. It will be held during the day on Saturday, August 4. .Also from 12 noon until 2:00 PM you can stop at the firemen’s pavilion and enjoy a barbequed chicken dinner while you browse the many sites or man your tables.
LEGION PICNIC The Lilly American Legion Post 628 will hold its annual members picnic on Sunday, August 12th at the Post pavilion on Jones Street. Sign up at the club during business hours. Guests are welcome with members.
RECOGNITION Max Roberts, the DVA Service Officer, deserves a lot of credit and praise for the many hours he has spent helping area veterans with information and claims the past two months. He will be in town for another week or so before heading home to Enterprise, Alabama.
BIRTHDAYS Today, July 26th finds John Steck, Denise Askins, Renee Behe, Richard Lingafelt and Ann McCabe celebrating their birthdays as will Les Kiel and John Mutsko on the 27th. Then on the 28th Bonita Gressick and Annette Pauley get to celebrate followed by Mary Kay Summerville, Stephanie Seymore and Madeline Mitchell on the 29th. July 30th is a busy day for the cake baker as Alex Dipko IIIm Heather Agosta, Don Hmiel, Margaret McGarry, Susan Rambeau and Ruby Tickerhoof all observe birthdays. James Moyer and Matthew Glenn gets to party on the 31st. Happy Birthday to All.
ANNIVERSARIES A special wedding anniversary greeting goes to John and Elaine Holsberger who will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 28th. John is a retired teacher who taught in the Richland School District. He and Elaine have three children: Beth in Massachusetts, Jim in Kansas and Joe in Cresson. They also have six grandchildren
Gerald and Shirley Wilson observe their wedding anniversary on July 26th followed by Marty and Judy Arnold on the 28th, Dominic and Juliana Ricupero on the 29th and Fred and Sally Behe on the 31st. Happy Anniversary to All.
