Smokey the bear is celebrating his 70th anniversary. Apparently he picked Lilly for the site of his party as he has been seen three nights in a row last week on Harris and Piper Street. I was told he personally greeted Vicki and Steve Durkay and Carol Paul as he came walking down Piper Street under the street light at 10:20 PM. Be careful leaving pets out alone.

Last week in error I called Elaine Klayko Emily. My apologies.

Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Dorothy Aldrich who recently passed away. She resided on Jones Street for many years and has a brother George Rhawn Jr. living in Pittsburgh. Her son Paul resides in Newry and is a member of St. Luke’s Church.
