Kitty
On June 10 my precious little friend for the past 17 years passed away. She was my cat named “Kitty”, a black and white feline who was an ever faithful companion in my home. Kitty was a joy to have around and would come to my bed room each morning to be sure I was awake about 7:30 and accompany me down stairs awaiting her morning meal. She would choose a warm spot on the first floor to nap during the day and run to the cellar if visitors came to the door. “Kitty” would meet me at the door each time I came home and if I brought groceries she would check the bags for goodies. She could be out of sight all day but if I opened a can of salmon or tuna she was right there. On miserable winter days she was often the only one I talked to. Then on cold winter nights she would cuddle at my feet to sleep. Lately she would sit on my lap to watch the late news with me before lying down for the night. A perfect, much loved, pet- “Kitty” I will miss you!

CITY   LEAGUE

Sunday afternoon was perfect weather to enjoy the ball game between Conrad Chiropractic/Lilly American Legion and Sheetz, both of the Altoona City League. Lilly beat Sheetz 11-0 in a 5th inning called game upping their record to 10-1 for the season. The game was a fund raiser for the Lilly Library.
