Most of us have spent more time indoors this past week as the bitter cold spell had us locked in from nature. I had no desire to venture outside in zero degree weather. Thank God we did not get hit with major snow here in the mountains. Keep welcoming spring.
PeeWee, Little League, Pony Leagues baseball signups will be held Saturday, February 20th at the Washington Township building from 10:00AM til noon.
We are getting in gear for the upcoming big re-union this July 1st, 2nd and 3rd here in Lilly.A project Ron Muldoon and I are planning is an Old Town picture display at the Sunday picnic(July 3). Any one that has good pictures of the old Polish church, old bridge to Barkertown, Piper tipple, the old Mule barn, old Water tank by Tickerhoofs, Italian Hall, old High School, shops, any old stores etc that can lend them to Ron who will copy and immediately return. ,There will be a Historical Society meeting in the Lilly Borough building at 6:00 PM. The meeting is open to all members and anyone interested in the society. The major topic of the February 18 meeting will be kick off plans for the 2 day home coming in July here in Lilly. All suggestions will be considered
.Today, February 18 finds Doris Erzal, Genevieve Lassk and Shirley Patterson celebrating birthdays followed by Tricia Martino, Bryan Offman, Robert Shedlock, Alicia Walters and Melanie Wilkinson on the 19th. It will be party time for Dave Lutton , John Lykens, William Patterson, Michael Phillips and Christina Rowe on the 21st. On the 22nd Beverly Mandichak, Tina Digruilles and Victoria Regan get to enjoy cake and ice cream. On the 23rd George Klayko observes his birthday followed on the 24th by Ted George, Ed Hutsky, Holly Patterson, Barry Yagoda and Matthew Zunich. Happy Birthday to All!
