Lilly Lines By Jack Barlick 886-4694

Well I would say we made it safely this far through a mild winter . Bill and Alb have kept the streets in good condition for residents and visitors. The Township have kept the roads in there area in good shape also. These crews are first class.

Anyone with ideas for community improvement let both the borough and township know, good ideas can make magic work. With spring soon coming give a thought of planting some florals in your yards, this makes for a noble appearance , also keep all curb weeds cut out, especially around poles

OUTSIDE LIGHTING
My neighbor, Thrish Behe, has a beautiful lighting display in front of her home. Puts me in the Christmas spirit just seeing them on. I haven’t been out much but hope to make a tour or two to see all the nice Christmas lighting in town.

Thanks to helpful children I have 90% of my shopping completed and haven’t left my home.
Steve and Cindy have been overly helpful.

BIG BUCK
See where Alb Claar got a nice 9 point buck. Guess there will be deer jerky at the Boro building for lunch….. My son, John, got an eight point down in Northern Maryland. Dick Sweeney returned from a hunting trip in Texas with some SeaBee friends. He was successful, but says deer are the size of a large dog down there.

I am told there was a nice turnout for the tree lighting ceremony managed by Kelly Sklodowski on Saturday evening down town.. There were about 134 riders for the horse and sleigh rides. Several out of town families took the opportunity to give their children a nice Christmas season experience. Thank you to my daughter Cindy Rabish and her husband Bryan along with Vickie Durkay for taking over the stable duties lining up the riders.

SYMPATHY
The entire community was saddened by the recent death of John Muldoon. He lived here in town and had a wealth of friends and family here. RIP

ELECTION
Aren’t you glad the elections are over and the TV programs are getting back to normal. This was the most frustrating campaign for president that I can ever remember and I now have no respect for either finalist or parties. Disgusting is too mild of a word to call the campaign.
THE TOWN
As it was warm the other day I decided to take a scooter ride around town. I covered most streets and was also looking out for junk and problems especially groups of old autos in my duty as mayor. There aren’t many to be found and 1 without plates or inspection is ok. Ones with broken windows should be removed.
What I did notice was that a very, very large percentage of residents take pride in their properties. Only a few places in town need cleaned up and letters will go out shortly addressing this.
